These Terms of Use apply to your use of the LA Vocal Academy website and the vocal coaching services provided by Lucy Armstrong.
By using this website or booking lessons, you agree to these terms.
Vocal coaching
LA Vocal Academy provides vocal coaching to students of different ages and experience levels.
Lessons are tailored to the individual student and may cover areas such as vocal technique, confidence, performance, repertoire and general vocal development.
Individual results will vary and no specific improvement, performance opportunity, qualification or professional outcome can be guaranteed.
Online lessons
Lessons are primarily provided online.
Students are responsible for having a suitable device, stable internet connection and an appropriate space in which to take part.
If technical problems occur, Lucy will make reasonable efforts to continue or rearrange the lesson where appropriate.
Bookings and payment
After an enquiry has been made and the details of a lesson have been agreed, Lucy will issue an invoice.
A lesson is not considered confirmed until payment has been received.
Any applicable prices will be communicated before payment is requested.
Cancellations and rearrangements
If you need to cancel or rearrange a lesson, please contact Lucy as soon as possible.
Any specific cancellation or rescheduling terms applicable to your booking will be communicated when arranging your lessons.
LA Vocal Academy reserves the right to rearrange a lesson where circumstances outside Lucy’s reasonable control make it necessary. Where this happens, every reasonable effort will be made to arrange a suitable alternative.
Students under 18
For students under 18, bookings should be made with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
LA Vocal Academy may require communications regarding bookings, payments and other important matters to take place with a parent or guardian.
Vocal health
Students should tell Lucy about anything relevant that may affect their ability to sing comfortably during a lesson.
Vocal coaching is educational and does not replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you experience persistent pain, discomfort or concerns relating to your voice, you should seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Students should never deliberately continue an exercise that causes pain.
Respectful behaviour
LA Vocal Academy aims to provide a welcoming, encouraging and respectful environment for everyone.
Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, inappropriate or unsafe behaviour will not be accepted. LA Vocal Academy reserves the right to end or refuse lessons where necessary to protect Lucy or other students.
Website information
We aim to keep information on the LA Vocal Academy website accurate and up to date. However, website content may occasionally change and we cannot guarantee that every piece of information will always be completely error free or current.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the content of the LA Vocal Academy website, including its written content, branding, graphics, photographs, videos, teaching materials and other original materials, belongs to Lucy Armstrong or is used with appropriate permission.
